Our Tepeztate comes from wild agaves that grows in our village mountains between the rocks and cliffs. Unlike the Tobalá, this agave is big in size but produces very little nectar due to the dry and arid regions where it grows. Additionally, Tepeztate takes between 12 to 20 years to be ready for harvest. Produced by local legend Epigmenio, now in his 90’s, with the help of his son Diego and family, this mezcal is made according to traditional and artisanal practices including cooking in an in-ground stone lined pit, tahona crushing, and open air fermentation in wooden tanks. The mash is double distilled in small copper pot stills.
Nose: Fruity, berries, fruit loops, watermelon rind, mineral soil, and sweet herbs.
Palate: Ripe tropical fruit, herbs, green pepper, coffee, and roasted peanuts.
Finish: Long and inducing.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
