Two species of agave are used to produce Derrumbes Michoacan: agave Cupreata brings mature fruit aromas, while agave Cenizo brings more herbal notes. Cooked in an underground stone pit using black oak, Derrumbes Michoacan is fermented in underground tanks lined with pine wood which adds to the herbal character. True to the tradition of mezcal production in this area, Derrumbes Michoacan is distilled using the Phillipino method, which predates copper-pot distillation. This technique requires the body of the still to be made from wood, with the alcohol vapours condensed by a copper pot full of water that sits at the top of the trunk. This process adds to the unique character of Derrumbes Michoacan, which after distillation is 46% ABV and is rested in large glass bottles before the final bottling.
Nose: Ferns, grass, pine needles, ash, smoke, white wine vinegar, and cracked stone.
Palate: Agave pepper and sweet fruit with mineral-heavy, sweet tropical fruit juice.
Finish: Long, with stones, camp fires, and apples.

A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
