It took 29 iterations until they arrived at the perfect rum ― the Ron Izalco. Crafted with Central American rum, it's named after the Izalco volcano, also known as the "Lighthouse of the Pacific". Its volcanic soil helps produce some of the finest sugar cane in the world, making it the perfect representation of the freshly launched brand. Aged 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels, Ron Izalco is bottled at a higher 86 proof and has an unusually high level of congeners ― the substances that are by-products of the distillation process and contribute to the aroma, taste, and complexity of a spirit. It's an exceptionally well-balanced and complex rum that was crafted to be a delicious sipper or serve as the basis for premium cocktails.
Nose: Apricot, prune, caramel, honey, and brown sugar notes.
Palate: Topical sweetness, charred oak and tobacco, with chili-pepper spice.
Finish: Long with tannic notes and raisins.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
