A big, exciting step for the young Lowlands-based Lochlea distillery. Our Barley is the first single malt to join the distillery's core range! Following the popularity of its Single Malt First Release, the Lochlea team set about creating this expression for all to enjoy. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, as well as shaved, toasted and re-charred barriques, the whisky was bottled up without any added color, or chill filtration. Judging by this, there's a promising future for Lochlea!
Nose: Sweet, fruit salad, honey, and sugared orange peel with soft notes of grassy malt.
Palate: Buttered soda bread, crushed almonds, tinned peaches with chantilly cream.
Finish: Maple syrup, nutty, and toasted oak with creamy layers of vanilla soften the spice.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
