For its Octomore 12.3 release, the Bruichladdich Distillery used barley distilled on Islay - specifically from Octomore Farm. Peated to 118.1PPM, this expression was aged in a combination of first-fill American whiskey casks and first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Fernando de Castilla (75% American whiskey casks, 25% Pedro Ximénez casks). Powerfully peaty, with radiant notes of sherried fruit shining through.
Nose: Dried grapes and berries rise powerfully with mineral peat and a subtle smoky note, overripe apricots play with morello cherries and sweet raisins. Caramelized sugar, grated milk chocolate in combination with spicy smoky oak, in the background there is a hint of dried tobacco leaves and old leather.
Palate: The first sip pours powerfully over the tongue, sweet fruits flash before tart, almost bitter wood tones with ash and smoke push towards the palate. Malty with roasted grain, earthy with mineral smoke, fly ash and embers, tart citrus fruits with a hint of white pepper, peeled hazelnuts with tart wood elements, and now and then sweet grapes and berries flash.
Finish: Long and powerful on the palate, smoke and peat stick to the tongue to be cozy and warm, and hazelnuts with wet tobacco appear again. Tart and spicy wood notes play one last time with citrus fruits and mineral peat smoke, extremely creamy, the Octomore stimulates the flow of saliva again towards the end.

B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
