A Japanese single malt that explores and celebrates fermentation and the fruity, floral notes formed during that part of the production process. In contrast to many Scottish producers, for example, Nikka (and other Japanese producers) use various yeast strains and experiment with many more. These strains are closely protected, and it's great to see a couple of releases highlighting their contribution - the other being the peated Yoichi Aromatic Yeast from Nikka's other malt whisky distillery. These rare versions of Yoichi and Miyagikyo Single Malts are released as the second in the “Nikka Discovery” series – limited bottlings that offer an inside look at the various experiments made during the whisky-making process at Nikka.
Nose: Lavender, marshmallow, licorice and malted barley with peach, pear, and apricot.
Palate: Barley, fern, brioche, leavened baguette, white peaches and pears acacia honey.
Finish: Long, silky with herbal tea, sage, chamomile, verbena, fruits, and light floral notes.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
