Dried and malted grains are milled, exposing the starches within. Then they add water, cooking the mash in order to convert those starches to sugars. Yeast is then added to the wort in fermenting tanks, starting the fermentation process that converts the sugars to alcohol and turns the wort into beer. This beer is then distilled. The resultant spirit is then transferred to charred new American Oak barrels, where it matures from 6 months to 2 years or more. Before bottling the spirit is filtered and brought to proof with purified oceanic water. Rod & Hammer's Slo Stills Straight Rye Whiskey features a mash bill of 95% rye grain. Aged 2 years in new American white oak, the expression is bottled at 90 proof.
Nose: Rye notes with black pepper and cedar aromas.
Palate: Bold and hot with plenty of rye spice, citrus, and leather notes.
Finish: Sweet with caramel and a touch of smoke.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
