Re Manfredi’s Vineyard of the Serpents is a 15-acre hillside vineyard sitting at 1600 feet in elevation. Soils are made up entirely of well-drained volcanic matter. The vineyard is made up of two separate parcels; one containing 40-year old vines densely planted and pruned using the Guyot method. The second seven-acre parcel was planted in 2001 and contains extremely dense plantings of 5,000 vines per hectare. Grapes are hand harvested, sorted and macerated on the skins for 15-20 days followed by fermentation in French Allier oak casks. The wine is aged for 12 months in 50% new and 50% 2nd-use oak and bottled without filtration. With excellent tobacco flavors and deep, dark fruit, this is a wine that will change and improve for another decade and easily run for another decade beyond that. 10,000 bottles produced.
Nose: Pepper, dark fruit, smoke, and red meat with violets and fresh cherries.
Palate: Meatiness, tobacco, spices, cherries, berries, and dense, sturdy tannins.
Finish: Smooth and a dark cherry finish.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
