Batch 002 is an anomaly that caused us quite a dilemma. In search of texturous whisky to complement the rye in Batch 001, we discovered stunning double distilled corn whisky, affectionately known at Found North as “Sample 18.” We blended Sample 18 with a parcel of buttery, minty 17 year old rye aged in ex-wheated bourbon barrels and then added a touch of lively, earthy 16 year old rye. The problem was -- the more we tweaked the ratio in favor of Sample 18 the more the blend improved. At 80:20 corn to rye the blend presented a mesmerizing orange creamsicle note, but no longer qualified as “rye.” We had to choose between bottling the best whisky or the most marketable whisky.
Nose: Spicy aroma.
Palate: Pine needles, and intense wood spice with vanilla, caramel and tannin.
Finish: Long, very warming and surprisingly berry-forward and sweet.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
