Produced in Burgundy, without roasting and closed with steam. In this way they guarantee elegance, maximizing the varietal characteristics of the Sangiovese. The name of the winery? Marco’s surname, Barbi, could not be used. One day he bought a dictionary of the dialect of Montepulciano and Val d’Orcia – his family is originally from Pienza – and discovered that the term “barbicaia” indicates the group of vine roots that emerge from the ground. And it seemed to him that everything all came together, meaning and philosophy.
Nose: The nose expresses hints of red fruit and floral notes.
Palate: On the palate it is large and full-bodied, with an evident tannic texture.
Finish: The finish is enriched with spicy hints and closes with a good persistence.

A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
