El Buho Especial Pulquero is produced by Octavio Jimenez Monterroza in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca using wild agave sourced from San Pablo Guila, Oaxaca. This agave species, agave Atrovirens, matures after 15-20 years and occasionally reaches a weight of more than 4,000 pounds with leaves over 14 feet long. It is also the same plant that can be used to produce pulque. The agaves are crushed by a horse-drawn tahona, cooked for 5 days in a stone oven, and fermented for 10 days in pine vats. After distillation, it was rested in plastic for 7 months.
Nose: Chalk, and lemon zest.
Palate: Minerals, sea salt, and umami.
Finish: Dry, citric finish of Mandarin peel.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
