It’s a good indication that a company is certain about the quality of its product when it names it after its founder. Masataka Taketsuru’s passion took him to Scotland to learn the art of distilling. Returning to Japan, ‘the father of Japanese whisky’ founded Japan’s first malt distillery and carefully created a whisky with the very finest fragrance, body, and taste. After all, the Taketsuru 17 did win the award for the World’s Best Blended Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2015, making it a globally renowned dram. But don’t take our word for it, it’s yours for the taking!
Nose: Fruit salad, berries, sultanas, vanilla, fragrant wood, and honey.
Palate: Smooth and soft with winter spice, vanilla, blood orange, and a little chocolate.
Finish: Medium-length, slightly bittersweet, oak, fruit, and cocoa.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
