Pelotón de la Muerte Espadin is produced in of Oaxaca by mezcalero Cutberto Santiago and his family, who cook agave Espadin agave in stone pit ovens using traditional methods. Pelotón de la Muerte is aimed at the cocktail scene and is often sold in one liter bottles. The Pelotón de la Muerte label is the flag The Doliente Hidalgo, a banner that represented the insurgent army call “The squadron of death”, which sought revenge for the murder of the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. The red in the flag represents the blood of the leader, the black cross represents the mourning for the priest Dolores, and the bones honor his remains. Pelotón de la Muerte is from Mezcales de Leyenda and geared towards the cocktail scene.
Nose: Kiwi fruit, lemon zest, green peppercorn, agave, and gentle smoke.
Palate: Smooth and soft, ripe agave character.
Finish: A finish with just the right amount of liveliness.

Note: Once an order has been safely & successfully delivered, we do not accept returns due to change of heart or taste. Due to state regulations, we cannot accept the return of alcohol purchased by a customer in error.
A. The Cork & Mash Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Cork & Mash does not take responsibility for minor damage.
C. Cork & Mash is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Cork & Mash damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
